Event Description

Richard Austin, Past President of the Australasian Native Orchid Society has been fascinated by these exquisite flowers since the age of 10!
He will amaze you with his photographs - magnified many times - of some of the 130 species that can be found within and hour's drive of Melbourne's CBD. (Have you ever heard of the "Flying Duck" orchid?)
Learn the lifecycle of native terrestrial orchids, the best time of year to see them, where to find them...and even how to grow them.
