Event Description

Join us for a Speechie Library Talk in November with Chloe and Melody, two bilingual Speech Pathologists from Blackburn Speech & Paediatric Therapy!

Chloe and Melody will read from the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year and share simple, practical ways to read with children aged 0–5 to support their language and learning. They’ll also discuss the benefits of reading in your home language and how bilingualism can support brain development, communication, and cultural connection from an early age.

Chloe Wong is a bilingual speech pathologist with a special interest in Early Childhood Intervention and bilingual language therapy. She’s a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia. Chloe also trains early educators to support children who are developing typically, have a language delay, or are second-language learners.

Melody Ou is another bilingual speech pathologist who is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist (CPSP) and a registered member of Speech Pathology Australia. Melody’s special interest is in bilingualism and how it influences an individual’s development in language and speech.
