Event Description

Join ILonka Guse in travelling down memory lane with her migrant memoir "From Sauerkraut to Vegemite".
ILonka migrated from Germany (West) to Australia (Melbourne) in 1985. These memoirs capture the first fifteen years of her new Australian life, 'fitting into Ozzie culture'. ILonka's sense of humour moves you through the first Greek Festival, living in Brunswick with characters like Franco Cozzo, and experiencing the Hawke/Keating government as a German Migrant.

Join ILonka for a reading from the memoir with a Q&A and a delicious morning tea.
