Event Description

You may have heard the phrase "rhymers will be readers", but what does that mean? By using songs and rhymes to introduce children to the magical world of reading it teaches your child to listen to the sounds that words are made of, and prepares you child’s brain for reading. In fact, experts in literacy and child development have discovered that if children know eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they're four years old, they're usually among the best readers by the time they're eight.

We also love them because they are fun to say, so come to our special rhyme time story time session these school holidays and join in with some old favourites, and maybe add some new rhymes to your repertoire.
