Miller's Homestead
Learn to grow your own vegies from seed, and propagate some fruit trees and herbs using simple techniques. You'll save a small fortune, access unusual varieties and have surplus plants to share with your friends and family. There’ll be a special focus on common mistakes to avoid, using free and upcycled materials, plus tips on making your own seed raising mix for better results.
Kat Lavers is the gardener and designer behind The Plummery, a 1/14th acre urban permaculture system that produces almost all the vegies, herbs, fruit and eggs consumed by the household – 450kg in 2020! Kat has a background in permaculture, teaching and facilitation, and designs home and community gardens and urban agriculture projects.
