Dementia - Robotic Companion Animals

Event Description

Come and see as library staff demonstrate this special, new addition to our dementia collection.
Just like any other cat or dog, these furry, robotic equivalents offer those with dementia comfort, companionship and joy as they purr, meow, wag their tails and much, much more.
Robotic companion animals respond to touch and motion just like the real thing, even begging for tummy rubs! Unlike the real thing however, they don't require any special care and are perfectly safe for your loved ones.

Like all of the dementia collection, the robotic companion animals will be available for loan with a library membership. If you have considered purchasing one of the animals for a loved one, this is a great opportunity to try one out for free, or just provide your loved one with a new experience.
