Amanda Hampson grew up in rural New Zealand. She spent her early twenties travelling, finally settling in Australia. Writing professionally for more than 20 years, she is the author of two non-fiction books, numerous articles, and novels.
Set in a time when Surry Hills was the heart of the garment and textile production industry Amanda's latest novel, The Tea Ladies, is charmingly nostalgic mystery in the vein of Agatha Christie that celebrates older women, a bygone era, and the joy and restorative power of a great cup of tea.
Join us at Croydon Library to hear from Amanda as she unpacks the Tea Ladies and her journey to becoming a writer.
