Event Concluded

Event Description

Joyce Agee began to write 'The Newcomer’s Dictionary' after she moved back to Australia with her family in 2016. This experience plus her history of frequent relocations as a child and as an adult, became the impetus to write her serial newcomer story.

The dictionary explores the meaning of words that are associated with newcomers from “Exile” to “Vagabond”, and interweaves folk and fairy tales, books, films and illustrations to tell her nomadic history and celebrate the importance of libraries and reading in her life.

Featured in the top 10 expat book list by 'Expat Nest', the 'Newcomer's Dictionary' will be available for purchase at the event and complimentary refreshments, tea and coffee will be served.
