Australia became a home to a large number of former Soviet citizens, including many who were displaced by the Second World War. Conscripted and deported from their homes and forced into labour camps in Germany. Life during wartime, was one of turmoil and danger and even death for many women who had no control over their lives and what happened to them.
Join local historian Kristian Ireland to hear his grandmother Olena's story.
