'Words Aloud' Poetry And Spoken Word Session - Featuring Fiona Stuart

Calling all wordsmiths, poets, spoken word artists, short story, letter, speech and song lyric writers!
Share your words, stories and art with others in the intimate, cosy setting of The Parlour at Miller's Homestead.
These sessions are a place for you to connect and be inspired by other wordsmiths and have a chance to perform your works to a respectful and inclusive audience.

This month's guest is Fiona Stuart, an Eastern suburbs based writer of short stories and poetry. She grew up in Western Victoria on a sheep property, and attended a small rural school. She read every book in the school library. Her quantum leap was attending Monash University in the 70s. In 1999 she completed a Diploma of Professional Writing and Editing. A cancer survivor of 21 years, a former Public servant, a Community worker and carer are some of her life experiences which influence her writing. During the last 20 years she has also run a few poetry venues and MCed. Nowadays she is almost retired.

Each session will begin with a guest performer and will be followed by an open mic session.

Ages: 15 - 100.
Help yourself to tea and coffee during the session.

Miller's Homestead is in a quiet, residential area so we ask that you please be courteous to our lovely neighbours.
